Last day of JanuaryWhere does the time go? It is now the last day of January. Only eleven months until the year 2007. How will I fill this year of my life? Well to begin I have begun to workout again on a regular basis. Dieting alone never does it for me so I must workout. I hope to shed these 20 pounds I have gained by the summer.
I will also be buying another vehicle. To say we have waited is an understatement. Vehicles are one of those things that I hate investing money into. To me they are money down the drain. I would much rather use it for anything than just transportation back and forth. First off, anyone who knows me knows that I am not what is considered a "good driver." Personally I feel that this trait of lousy driving is inherited, so I have reason to be bad. I have not yet had a vehicle that at one time or another has not been in an accident at some point. Also I do not have a great driving record to back it up either. Oh well, just one of lifes little mysteries. Some people are excellent drivers, most are average, and a few of us rate as down right bad. But my dilemna is this, do we buy another SUV type vehicle that fits four or do we go for the mini van in hopes that we will soon be a family of five.
I personally am not a fan of any minivan, but with two car seats it would be the best and easiest decision. Second, we attend UA reunions around the country on a regular basis so we need to have a good travel vehicle. Also I need fourwheel drive if possible since we have snow. Anyway another dilemna until UA opens up.
Updates for the past few monthsSorry for the recent delay in postings: quick overview-
We had a terrific Thanksgiving getting a chance to spend time with our family including my brother Wes and his family who live in MS. In December Vitaly and I flew to Colorado to visit with my brother Rowland and his family including my beautiful niece Sunshine. Vitaly took his first snow ski school at Araphoe Basin- he loved it! The altitude on top of a nasty cough was too much for me though and I spent most of the day trying to catch my breath. Christmas was wonderful and the boys were so excited this year. The biggies were drums (yes drums- the gift that keeps giving) for Vitaly and a guitar. For Nikolai it was all about Power Rangers and trains. We rang in the New Year our usual way asleep and home safe in our beds. New Years day we were blessed with the company of friends and family as we ate and watched football and reminisced.
Now January has flown by and still no word on Ukraine adoptions and what might be going on or when they will begin accepting dossiers again.
Happy 2006! A new year in the life of the Seyler family please continue to follow along
